Welcome! HK is a current NC based actress and director! Graduating from Western Carolina University (BFA Musical Theatre),  theatre has always been a huge part of my life since childhood and I can't imagine who I'd be without it. It's shaped me into the person that I am today.

My goal as a young actress in this industry, is to break the mold that’s expected of Black women in theatre and to pursue roles that aren't "traditionally cast" with Black women in mind (think BIPOC Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Cathy in The Last Five Years, Dot in Sunday in the Park with George, you get the gist)!

 

I want to show other people that look like me, that they too are SO much more than just the color of their skin or their "type". ​

When I'm not doing theatre, you can find me reading new books, laughing with friends, telling anyone who's willing to listen about my love for cows and the movie Coraline, listening to music or cuddling with my precious kitty, PB.
